Back Pain and Spine Neurosurgical Mission

The Southern Philippines Medical Center Neurosurgery recently concluded its 3-day Back Pain and Spine Neurosurgical Mission Week last August 18 to 20, 2025 attending to a variety of spinal pathologies including degenerative diseases and spinal tumors. The mission succesfully catered to varied cases from anterior cervical discectomies, corpectomy and fusion, posterior instrumentation and stabilization, resection of spinal tumors, spinal decompression, and lumbar discectomies. 

We would like to extend our gratitude to our partners in care - the nursing staff and services, Department of Anesthesiology, and sponsors. We look forward to a back pain-free Mindanao, one vertebra at a time.
